I have just purchased a tug Kit [yes another]!
this one’s a little bigger than my king midas kit. I have purchased a “Sun XXI Tug”, kit made by a company called “Lesro Models” based in the UK. The kit is several years old, but virtually untouched, apart from one of the plastic bags containing some of the wooden parts had been opened. I bought it for a lot less than the original purchase price, so I think Ive got a good deal here. the only thing that was missing ,was the build instructions and plans, but thanks to a fellow member of the “model tug forum”, Bill Saunders, he has photocopied me his onw instructions and graciously posted them to me, Many thanks Bill !
He also kindly sent me a cd rom with various pictures of his own Sun Tug boat build, so hopefully it will help me tremendously to build mine with his kind assistance.
So, you will now find “yet another” page set appearing as time goes by. No, I havent forgotten about the other kits, these get worked on in rotation, so as I can afford to buy spares, i do, and each boat gets its equal share f time and effort. I won’t say they get “loving care and attention”, I’ll save that till they are all built and sailing round, then they get that bit, when I clean and polish them! [ha ha ha].
